Jennifer Church received her B.A. from Macalester College (1976) and her PhD from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (1982). She was a graduate student at Somerville College at Oxford University and was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Chicago. Her research addresses various topics in the philosophy of mind, including consciousness, the emotions, irrationality, and the imagination. She also is interested in Kant, Freud, feminist theory, and the philosophy of music. (A list of Church's publications can be found by going to her web page.)
