Gwen Broude received her B.A., A.M., and Ph.D. in social anthropology. Her research has focused on the cross-cultural patterning of male-female relationships. She is interested in particular in how biology and environment interact to affect how people (and other animals) think and behave. Her research also includes a consideration of the evolutionary bases of cognition and behavior.
